Bullies are everywhere. It is a normal part of life---or is
it?
Bullying
was a consistent factor in every school shooting during past 15 years.
However, the shooters were not the bullies but the victims. Do our
schools accept the responsibility of eliminating or at least reducing
bullying or do we simply blame it on parents, society, music, etc. and
continue to allow it?

Homeland Security
What do you do if Homeland Security Announces
Alert Level Red? What specific activities should schools
enact?
A survey was
recently completed among a group of law enforcement officers working
in schools. It found that 95 percent of respondents described their
schools as vulnerable to terrorism.
Most cited security gaps, was too little training and support or
inadequate crisis plans that, in many cases, simply have not been
tested.
"The most critical lesson learned from 911 is that training and
preparedness saves lives," a member stated.
"Our federal and state governments must partner more closely with
local school districts and their school police officers in order to
have truly comprehensive homeland security planning."
Join
us in Orlando to discuss this hot topic and learn what others are
doing to curb it. If your school does not have a bullying problem, you
especially need to attend. |

"They
always pushed me, shoved me, threw rocks at me...they called me gay
and stupid. I never did anything to them." A school shooter in an
interview from prison with the Secret Service.
"What
is the difference between teasing and bullying?"
